INTRODUCTION

Koinonia – Jerusalem is a non-profit, Christian-based organization under the establishment of John
Paul II Foundation in Bethlehem. The purpose of Koinonia-Jerusalem is to help strengthen the
presence of the Palestinian Christian community in East Jerusalem and the Churches therein,
primarily focusing on young Palestinian Christians within the community. Koinonia - Jerusalem
aims to help empower young Palestinian Christians, by providing support and development
programs that develop a strong sense of personal identity, belonging and commitment to the
Palestinian Christian community in the Holy Land. Koinonia – Jerusalem’s work also aims to
empower and equip young community leaders with skills and competencies needed to develop a
